The Case Study Skills Workshop for Economics is a specialized training program designed to equip students with the necessary tools and techniques to excel in the A-Level Economics case study paper. The workshop takes place at two convenient locations: Bukit Timah Shopping Centre and Tampines.
Over the course of three sessions, students will receive guidance on structuring their responses to higher-order case study questions, using effective answering techniques and strategies. The workshop also includes revision notes on case study skills, sample examination questions, and addressing common errors and misconceptions. In addition, lessons cover JC2 macroeconomics topics, giving students an early head start on their JC2 syllabus while reinforcing JC1 foundations.
Past participants have reported significant improvement in conceptual understanding and application skills, leading to higher scores in their examinations. The Intensive Revision Programme is a focused study program offered exclusively in December each year, designed for students who wish to strengthen their JC1 foundation or who have not performed well in their promotional exams. This programme provides a comprehensive review of JC1 topics, ensuring students are fully prepared for further studies in JC2.
Students will engage in content revision, Economics essay practice, and topical case studies, applying their knowledge to real exam questions. The programme is open to new students who are not attending regular weekly tuition classes, providing them with an opportunity to benefit from Dr. Anthony Fok’s proven teaching methodology.
Participants receive revision notes, model essays, template answers, and essay-writing strategies for tackling higher-order questions. The programme also emphasizes writing evaluation points, making value judgments, and avoiding common errors, equipping students with the skills to maximize their marks in A-Level examinations.
